LAURA & SEVEN ~ DREAMS THE BAND

Newsletters are for news and I’ve got some big stuff here. I have it on a very reliable source that the Arena Football League is coming back next year. Now, at least one of you out there is gonna ask, “How do you know?” and someone else will ask, “What’s that got to do with your band?” I’m very glad you asked. Last year Lil Laura cut a deal with the Orlando Predator’s entertainment director to perform 2 shows featuring the band doing their “Stevie Nicks Tribute Show”. The first gig would have been for the season ticket holder pick-up party held just before the season opens at the Amway Arena. They said the year before there was over 2,500 people there. The second performance would be on the outside stage just before one of the home games. Well, all that came to a screeching halt when the league shut down. However, and here’s where I get my info, the Pred’s office called Lil’ Laura “very recently” to say we’re back on. They want to use the band for the pick-up party and a pre-game show. Maybe the new Arena will be finished by then and we’ll be one of the first bands to ever play there! Is that some news, or what? The pick-up party is free and you don’t have to pick up anything to be there. When we get the date you’ll be the first to know. |
Halloween at the Bat Ranch was a roaring success. 5 bands rocked on 2 stages for continuous sound from 7pm on Saturday night until the sun came up the next morning. Many people camped over to maximize partying and minimize risk. A lot of effort and talent went into the art and decoration of this year’s makeover of Tim Wright’s ranch. To see photos and video of the entire event www.CoolCatProductions.net is the official site to view. Click on “We Party Live” and go to Bat Ranch 09. Mary and David worked overtime covering this party. |
